Jazz Matters has been quiet for some time,

Jazz Matters has been quiet for some time, and I think it is important to explain why before I begin talking about the relaunch.

During that period, I moved home, started putting together a new studio and lost my father. Life needed my full attention. Continuing to produce podcasts, mixes and writing while I was unable to give them the care they deserved would not have felt right.

Stepping away was not part of a planned break or marketing strategy. It was simply necessary.

The distance did, however, give me time to think properly about Jazz Matters. I began questioning what was working, what had become unnecessarily complicated and what I wanted the project to stand for in the years ahead.

That thinking has brought Jazz Matters back into focus.

The rebuilt website at www.jazzmatters.world will become the central home for my podcasts, mixes, Jazz Matters Sessions, interviews, JM Studio Notes, Sleeve Notes and longer Jazz Matters Features.

Rather than spreading everything across disconnected platforms, I want the music and writing to sit together in one recognisable place.

The full Jazz Matters relaunch will take place on Thursday 16 July 2026. Between now and then, I will be sharing more about what I have been building, the decisions behind it and where Jazz Matters is heading next.

The silence was longer than I expected, but it gave me the space to return with greater clarity and purpose.
