A New Chapter Begins

Jazz Matters is moving into a new chapter. As I work towards the Jazz Matters relaunch on Thursday 16 July 2026, I have been looking carefully at the way the website is structured, how the music is presented, and how the writing sits alongside the shows.

The aim is not to make Jazz Matters feel bigger for the sake of it. The aim is to make it clearer, easier to follow, and more focused.

Jazz Matters has always been about music that deserves proper attention. Contemporary jazz, nu-jazz, world music, deeper listening, and the sounds that do not always fit neatly into one box. That part has not changed.

What is changing is the way I want everything to connect. The website needs to feel like the clear home for Jazz Matters, not just a place where links are stored. The music player, JM Studio Notes, Show Notes & Playlists, Sleeve Notes, Interviews and Features all need to feel part of one joined-up idea.

This relaunch is a chance to tidy the house properly before opening the door again.

There is still work to do, but the direction feels right. Jazz Matters is becoming more settled, more focused, and more itself.

The home for everything is www.jazzmatters.world.
